Professor Brighouse’s interests include philosophy of science, philosophy of space and time and philosophy of physics more generally. She teaches some classes in these areas, but also teaches a course on philosophy and science fiction as well as other introductory philosophy courses.

Professor Homiak teaches courses in philosophy, women’s studies, and ancient history. Her primary philosophical interests are in topics in moral and political philosophy, especially as they are discussed by the three great Greek philosophers Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle.

Clair Morrissey’s philosophical interests include moral and political philosophy, especially practical ethics and political philosophy. She teaches courses in these areas, particularly bioethics, environmental ethics, international justice and philosophy of race and gender. Clair has two current research projects – the first on the question of jurisdiction for international criminal prosecutions and the nature of the international community (focusing on the status of state sovereignty and cosmopolitanism), the second on ‘ethics methods’ in bioethics.

Kory Schaff specializes in moral and political philosophy, particularly in the tradition of Hegel and German Idealism. He teaches courses in these areas as well as philosophy of law, philosophy of economics, critical social theory, and feminist and queer theory. His current research focuses on Hegel and the ethical dimensions of work organization, constitutional issues regarding same-sex marriage, and the ethics and politics of the drug war

Saul Traiger teaches courses in 17th and 18th century philosophy, the foundations of cognitive science, contemporary epistemology and the philosophy of mind. His research includes work on the historical and conceptual foundations of cognitive science, the philosophy of mind, epistemology, and the philosophy of David Hume.
